Habit Progress Calculator

Memory is a poor judge of consistency — most people either overestimate their good days or fixate on the ones they missed. Enter how many days you've tracked a habit and how many of those you actually completed, and this tool gives you an honest percentage instead of a guess.

Enter your tracked and completed days to see your consistency.

How This Tool Works

The calculator divides completed days by tracked days to give a plain percentage, then applies a general label — early stage, building consistency, or highly consistent — as a rough guide, not a scientific measurement. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere; the calculation happens entirely in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as good consistency?

There's no universal threshold, but as a rough guide this tool labels 80% or higher as highly consistent, 50 to 79% as building consistency, and under 50% as early stage. These are general labels, not a medical or scientific benchmark.

Does a low percentage mean I should quit the habit?

No. A lower percentage usually means the habit's first step is still too big or the cue isn't specific enough, not that the habit itself is wrong for you. Shrinking the action before giving up tends to work better.
